In my latest MSNBC column, I discuss the persistent problem of housing discrimination in the United States.
“Housing discrimination has kept Black and brown families out of many neighborhoods and continues to contribute to the current racial gap in homeownership. According to the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Black homeownership rate is 30.5 percent lower than white Americans and 22 percent lower than the national homeownership rate of 63.7 percent.”
